Virabhadrasana - 1

Virabhadra is a fearsome and powerful warrior created by Lord Shiva. This is one of the most powerful and strenuous asanas.


Benefits

1. In this pose, chest is fully expanded and this helps in deep breathing.

2. It relieves stiffness in shoulders and back; benefits ankles and knees.

3. It also cures stiffness of the neck and reduces fat around the hips.

Limitations:

This asana should not be attempted by persons with high blood pressure and vertigo. Even people who are fairly strong should not stay more than 60 seconds in this asana. 

We need to be in this posture for about 30 seconds.
